Frank Rettenbacher was born in Bregenz, Austria. He lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He graduated with honors in Industrial Design from Graz’s University of Applied Science. After designing for Audi in Ingolstadt, he joined Philips Design in the Netherlands. Here, working across numerous departments, his award-winning work has encompassed lighting, consumer electronics and strategic design. Since 2012, he is Creative Lead at Philips Television (TP Vision) and was instrumental in the design and development of the acclaimed ‘DesignLine’ glass TV. Additionally, he works on his own projects; these focus upon furniture and figurative illustration. In 2014, Frank started working with the renowned Italian furniture manufacturer Zanotta.
